West Coast boy's on the Watauga
August 10, 2014 by Travis Honeycutt
Asheville fly fishing guides, Travis Honeycutt and Jay Dodd take Ryan Trinkler and a couple of his colleagues out for a late summer float trip on the Watauga river. Though the water was low and clear, we fooled plenty of fish and even a few trophies. Ryan landed a great 18 inch rainbow and a solid 21 inch brown. Both beautiful specimens! Along with the other 30 we caught in our boat and 25 out of Jay's boat. I'd call that a great half day float trip any day of the week! Thanks for fishing with Asheville Anglers while you were in town. Look forward to the next one...
