Fishing Report

The summer heat is on and so if the fishing!  We are having a lot of afternoon rains that are keeping the rivers full.  The trout fishing has been great in tennessee.  Sulphurs are hatching on the south holston providing some great dry fly and dry dropper fishing.  High fish numbers with several chances at trophies a day can be expected.  The watauga is fishing like it did several years ago!  Big number and lots of solid fish have their heads up waiting for terrestials!  If you are looking to trout fish tennesse is where you want to be.  Our small creeks around asheville are fishing ok but you really want to head over the mountain and fish the tailwaters this time of year, the drive is well worth it!   The smallmouth fishing is off the charts right now.  We are catching 20-50 smallmouth a day with lots of 2-4 pounders every trip.  Now is also the time that the muskies are getting fired up.  We seen muskies every time we've been on the water and have put several nice toothy fish in the boat!  So whatever species you are after now is the time to go after them.  Just call to book your trip and lets go fishing 828-768-0474.
